Three Weeks left to Get Out the Vote!

Voter Registration has closed in Pennsylvania, and the primary focus of volunteer effort now is on Getting Out the Vote on Election Day – Tuesday, November 8, 2016 – for Hillary Clinton, and all the democratic candidates on the ballot.

Volunteers are phone banking at the Lansdale campaign office (14 E. Sixth Street, Lansdale PA 19446) every day and most evenings; contact Patrick Eddis for more information (215-359-5773).

This Wednesday, October 19, 2016, is the third and final Presidential Debate! We’ll be celebrating with balloons and bingo at our final UPDC Debate Watch Party for 2016, along with the usual refreshments (though there may be a few surprises…). We’ll also be phone banking from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.; primarily calling up local democrats and reminding them to get out to vote on election day. Then we’ll fill our glasses, each choose a debate bingo card (there are prizes!), and settle in for the start of the debate at 9 p.m., followed by our own analysis, live Daily Show and live Late Night with Colbert debate coverage. Come when you can, stay as long as you like. All democrats and Hillary Clinton supporters are welcome – 124 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.

Finally, now is the time to commit to volunteering at some point over the next three weekends here in the Upper Perkiomen Valley. Staging area for phone banking and local door to door canvassing (again, of Democrats and Hillary supporters), will be in Pennsburg on Saturdays and Sundays, Oct 22-23, 29-30, and Nov 5-6, 2016. There are three shifts a day, 9 a.m. – noon, noon to 3 p.m., and 3 p.m. – 6p.m. Contact Ann Tiefenthaler (anntiefenthaler30@gmail.com) for more information; her house is that staging ground for two of those weekends, which means that is where you will go to pick up the canvassing packets, and phone banking information.

PA Victory Campaign organizer Patrick Eddis will be holding a volunteer organizing meeting on Wednesday, October 26th at 7 p.m. at the Upper Perkiomen Library, 350 Main Street, Red Hill. Learn about, and volunteer for, the final GOTV push and election day volunteer opportunities.
