In the previous blog post, Thank You, I wrote that the majority of voters wanted something else. While that may be true for down ticket races, it turns out that overall, Hillary Clinton was (is) the popular choice, having received more votes than Donald Trump; as votes (primarily absentee and provisional ballots) continue to be counted, her lead continues to grow. She is currently up by 700,000 nationally, and that number continues to grow. It will not, however, change the electoral vote count.

In Pennsylvania, the current count has her losing the state by 68,000 votes (out of slightly over five and a half million votes cast in PA). Just FYI, in Montgomery County alone, some 17,000 absentee ballots may never have been received by those who requested them.

Polls open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

Remember, vote Democrat up and down the ballot -President Hillary Rodham Clinton will need a Senate and House of Representatives who will work with her!

Balloons and Bingo at the Final Debate Watch Party!

It is now exactly three weeks before Election Day – it’s been a long and winding road, but we are finally nearing the end of this very strange trip. The third and final Presidential Debate is tomorrow, Wednesday, October 19, 2016!

We’ll be celebrating with balloons and bingo at our final UPDC Debate Watch Party for 2016, along with some refreshments, and running commentary, cheers, and boos from those gathered around the TV.

We’ll also be doing some local phone banking before the debate, from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.; primarily calling up local democrats and reminding them to get out to vote on election day.

Then we’ll fill our glasses, each choose a debate bingo card (there are prizes!), and settle in for the start of the debate at 9 p.m., followed by our own analysis, live Daily Show, and live Late Night with Colbert debate coverage. Come when you can, stay as long as you like. All democrats and Hillary Clinton supporters are welcome – 124 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.

Yard Signs!

We have a limited number of Clinton/Kaine signs, some Josh Shapiro for Attorney General signs, a very few Joanne Jackson for State Representative signs, and by Monday night we will have a few Katie McGitny for Senate signs.

If you’d like some for your front yard, you may pick them up at any time in East Greenville. In a few cases we may even deliver! Show your support and let “secret supporters” in town know that they aren’t alone.

Email for more information or to reserve a sign – all free!
