Two Weekends Left Before Election!!

While the latest polling looks good, nothing matters except the actual voting and vote counts on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016. Which is why the Get Out The Vote (GOTV) effort is so important!

On Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 29-30, and Nov 5-6, 2016, volunteers will be busy knocking on doors, reminding people to vote (and making sure they have a way to the polls). We are only going to the homes of Democratic supporters! There are three shifts a day, 9 a.m. – noon, noon to 3 p.m., and 3 p.m. – 6p.m. Contact Ann Tiefenthaler (anntiefenthaler30@gmail.com) or field organizer Patrick Eddis (215-359-5773 OR peddis@pavictory2016.org) to volunteer, even if it’s only for an hour or two.

Phone banking is also ongoing, from now until the evening of November 8th, when the polls close. UPDC will be hosting one more night of phone banking in East Greenville on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at 124 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA. The majority of phone calls are made to people we know are for Hillary Clinton, just to remind them to go out on election day and vote!

And last call for signs! We got in a late shipment of Hillary Clinton and Katie McGinty signs, so let us know ASAP if you’d like one or two! updemclub@gmail.com

Balloons and Bingo at the Final Debate Watch Party!

It is now exactly three weeks before Election Day – it’s been a long and winding road, but we are finally nearing the end of this very strange trip. The third and final Presidential Debate is tomorrow, Wednesday, October 19, 2016!

We’ll be celebrating with balloons and bingo at our final UPDC Debate Watch Party for 2016, along with some refreshments, and running commentary, cheers, and boos from those gathered around the TV.

We’ll also be doing some local phone banking before the debate, from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.; primarily calling up local democrats and reminding them to get out to vote on election day.

Then we’ll fill our glasses, each choose a debate bingo card (there are prizes!), and settle in for the start of the debate at 9 p.m., followed by our own analysis, live Daily Show, and live Late Night with Colbert debate coverage. Come when you can, stay as long as you like. All democrats and Hillary Clinton supporters are welcome – 124 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
